I am actually not that proud of my voice, it was easier to deal with when I was younger. :T

Anyway, here's a vocal sample of Shatter, sans background music. It's about half a minute long because I sang only the first stanza and the chorus.
One terrible vocal sample coming right up. My voice kind of died near the end due to the door opening and sounds distracting me. I suppose the fact that they don't turn up in the recording is testament to my mic's noise-cancelling power. I'd say this song(and other ballad-type songs) bring out more power because the lyrics aren't as fast.

I'm going to upload more samples over the days with varying tonal qualities(all of them absolutely terrible, I bet). Prepare yourself for more arduous torture.

Ah Lapis, that's actually really good! Haha, I admit I was waiting to hear what it sounded like when your voice died, but I suppose I'm just strange like that. :P I get distracted very easily, too. Ask any of my friends - I change subjects in conversations like you wouldn't believe. Out of nowhere. I suppose people have gotten used to it, though, because my mom is the only person who really brings it up XD

Alas, I went on a bit of a word spree there. My apologies!

Anyway, you should keep singing! You have a nice vocal range - what do you plan on singing next?

@Lati: Well, I'm probably going to do a quick sample of "The Earth's Final Confession" by kemu, as well as either "The Full Course For Candy Addicts" or "Sunset Love Suicide," both of which are great Machigareta songs. I might do a sample of "Child's Garden" by otetsu and perhaps "LUST DOLL" by avtechno! as well as a yet-to-be-decided Kagamine Len song. I'm hoping to eventually finish a English translyrics cover of "Netgame Addict Sprechor" with personalized lyrics, as well as "Love-Lost Elegy" by DECO*27. Somewhere in between I might do a half-assed cover of either "Euterpe" or "Departures" by the Supercell "fake" band, Egoist. But yeah. I can almost guarantee deafness-inducing horribleness in all of them. :y

You like hearing people's voice die? Well, I guess I'll have to save a failed recording next time my voice cracks in middle of a song, then. It happens a lot if I try to sing in the lower registers for too long. :y

@Alyss: Singing practice? Nope. I just warmed up with some tester runs, and then kept my third try. :y

It's actually not that uncommon to want to hear people's voices failing, it's apparently pretty common(since voice failure happens unexpectedly and turns out hilariously).

I tried mixing using the same vocals I used in the previous upload. I'm not sure on how it turned out, but I was able to turn down the volume at least.
