Name Pending [A Text Adventure]
How to Play
Additional Info:
You awaken in a forest.
Who are you?
>_
- Spoiler:
- In a text adventure, there are two kinds of participants.
Those participants are:
The Parser, who runs the game.
The Players, who keep the game moving forward with the commands they input.
The Parser begins the game with an introduction, which can do anything from just ask a simple question of the players, to giving a detailed layout of current events and throwing you into an event.
In order to indicate the end of their addition to the story, the parser leaves '>_' at the end of the message, indicating that players can input commands. Anyone familiar with Homestuck will be aware of the common usage of this in player-creator interaction.
The Players input commands like so:>Walk down the long hallway.
>Do we see anything nice?
To which the Parser's response would be like so:You walk down the long hallway, it's really dark in here.
You see several lovely family pictures, they must have been taken before the manor was abandoned.
As you can see, the Players indicate how they'd like the story to go, and the Parser completes those requests while moving the story along.
I hope you use this brief tutorial to polish your adventuring skills.
Happy Adventuring, to all of you,
Shea
Additional Info:
- Spoiler:
- This game will update once a day, if commands are available to be entered. If two commands are contradictory, Parser's preference will be chosen. You can also increase the likeliness of a command being chosen by 'seconding' it.
You awaken in a forest.
Who are you?

You don't remember who you are. You do, at least, know that's odd.
Maybe you should search around for some clues?

You check your pockets for an ID or anything that might tell you who you are.
Unfortunately, save for some pocket lint they seem to be empty- Oh wait! There's actually a pen in one of the pockets on your jacket. Maybe that will come in handy.

You come to another part of the forest. For all you know you walked in a circle and came back to where you started.
It really looks all the same.
> Climb a tree to figure out the general area
Well, this couldn't possibly go wrong.
Hmm, this seems to be wor-
Well. Nevermind.

You aren't sure what a dinobird sounds like.
Regardless, a loud racket erupts from your mouth. If anyone was nearby to hear it, perhaps they'd compare it to the sound a pterodactyl would make.
You wait, but nobody comes to investigate the noise you have made. You suppose you must really be alone here.
