The Divine Curse p.1 (Open / Started)

"I figured. Those silly tree spirits."

Takeo walked in a uttered a spell. The windows became alive with blaze, which suddenly died down, ready to reignite should someone try to get in through the window. Takeo did it to his window as well.

"Well the trap is set. It won't burn the inn when it ignites, but it will burn people. Just be careful, don't go opening the window, okay? I'm gonna go to sleep now."

Takeo returned to his own room, undressed to his boxers, and climbed into bed. He would keep one eye open all night just in case.

Koe slipped into her bed, curling up under the blankets and shutting her eyes tight. Xavier will not get in here... But why am I still so worried? She thought.


Xavier watched through the window as Koe shut her eyes, then quickly dropped down from his perch in the trees, entering the inn like a normal person. He looked at the inn keeper. "Room 324 please, I'm with the elf girl in there," The man looked at him suspiciously, but gave him the other key after he threw a half a bag of money at him. "Thanks," He replied, going up to her room and unlocking the door quietly. Slipping into the room.
He sat down on the edge of her bed, and she immediately shot up. "Xavier!?" She exclaimed quietly. "How did you get in here?"
"Man up front gave me a key," He answered. Koe cursed.
"Go away,"
"Never,"
"Why can't you just leave me alone!?"
"You know exactly why, I want to know why you left at least,"
"It's none of your business,"
"None of MY business? It IS my business. It has been for the past fifty years!" He exclaimed.
She sighed, then un-braided her hair, letting it fall down in waves. "I left because you were going to end up getting hurt. You would have died..." She paused. "I thought it killed you anyway,"
"What's it?"
"It was a demon, a smart talking one.. I killed it a couple years later... But in it's dying breath it said it had eaten you...." She frowned. "I was so upset..... But I found a way through it in the last fifty years, and moved on..." She looked up fiercely, making eye contact. "So you should move on to, and leave me alone before I hurt yo-" She was interrupted by him leaning down and kissing her fiercely. She pulled away, and she frowned. "I'm with somebody else Xavier, I will not take you back,"
"I don't believe you," He replied coyly, standing up. "I'll continue following you guys until you let me become one of your group, believe it or not you really aren't the only reason I want to join Koe," Then Xavier left through the door, throwing the key on her bed.

Takeo heard what happened in the other room. He wasn't gonna let anyone threaten his friends. Friends? Why did he call them that? But...he couldn't help but admit he really started caring for everyone here.

He jumped out of bed and followed Xavier on the way out. He sneaked through the bushes, making sure not to be seen, casting a spell of darkness on himself to remain hidden. He pulled out a knife.

"7...5...5..6"

Immortality's Frailty was cast unto the knife. Now it could kill him. He breathed some foxfire onto the knife for good measure, and waited until Xavier was about 20 feet away. Takeo let the knife fly, aiming right at his throat. He hoped for his sake that he didn't miss. This was a surprise attack, and Takeo spent his life throwing knives. He really hoped that would help him out now.

Xavier flicked up his wrist as the knife came whirling towards him, a branch popping up from the ground and catching the knife just before it hit his throat as he walked away. Not even bothering to see who threw it. It dropped to the ground. And he disappeared into a nearby tree. Starting to go from tree to tree.

Takeo retrieved the knife and went back inside. Whatever.

((I though you wanted to have a thing with him?)

Elza sat up, somehow having missed the entire thing. She blinked, apparently more tired than she felt. "What happened? Are you okay?" The knuckles clutching her katana were bone white, like she was ready to choke someone.

Aaron immediately lay down, turning back to human form as soon as he fell asleep.

Koe nodded, "I'm fine..." She replied, covering her shoulders with her blankets. Her eye's sad, "Just fine,"

Faron soon dropped to the ground, curling up as a panther and fell asleep.

Snuggled up in his bed he saw Takeo walking out of the room and back not quite sure what happened he went to sleep. Resting for awhile but he couldn't really get any sleep so he jumped out of bed while not making a sound and walked to the balcony trying not to wake Takeo up. Leaning at the edge of the balcony he thought about his sister and the others who were controlled while playing with his blue flame.

Obviously, everything wasn't just 'fine,' but Elza didn't want to push Koe for answers. Sighing, she settled back down, falling asleep almost immediately, but not as deeply this time. She wanted to be able to wake up if she needed to.

Koe fell asleep, trying to to ruminate on what happened and start to feel sorry for Xavier... Start thinking thoughts she shouldn't be.

Making sure that she was still over him completely.

Takeo walked behind Ritsu on the balcony, and kissed him on the cheek. Takeo then laid back in bed and fell asleep.

Elza was up early, Sitting out on the balcony, watching the sun rise and smelling the fresh air. It was likely that she might never come here again. They would be traveling, killing demons and pursuing the wishes of the Gods. It wasn't delightful, but who else would do it? Elza's katana hung at her side, its sleek black sheath shining dully in the strengthening sunlight. Her bag was sitting on her already made bed, ready for the road. Or, perhaps, running to kill something. The elf sighed, leaning her elbows on the railing and propping her chin on one palm. Xavier would probably come back again today. Perhaps every day, until he was dead, Koe took him back, or it finally got through his thick head that she was through with him. She wondered if that was completely true.

Koe sat up and sighed, rubbing the sleep outof her eyes as she rolled out of her bed, quickly throwing on her clothes and packing her things.
"So I see you're getting ready to leave then?" Xavier called from the door, leaning on it.
"Will you please leave me alone?" Koe grumbled, tying her hair up.
"Never," Koe rolled her eyes and pushed past him. Starting to walk to the check out desk. He followed behind her.
"Come on, you can't pretend like I'm not here,"
"And you cantpretend tha you mean anything to me,"
"Oh harsh,"
Koe sighed and threw the keys at the clerk, then leaning on a nearby wall.

Elza stalked down to the lobby, her bag slung over her shoulder. She tossed the keys at the guy behind his desk and gave Xavier the stink eye, crossing her arms over her chest. "Don't you know how to tell when you aren't wanted anymore? Go away already."

Xavier mock pouted, "Come on! It's not like I'm threatening to kill anybody or like... Taking over their bodies! Just want to join the gang... Like I said before... Koes just a perk... PLLLEEEEAAAASSEEE MS. PRETTY ELF! Please just let me stay for awhile!?"

Koe rolled her eyes, then walked over to Elza, whispering in her ear. "It might be better if we just take him in to keep a watch on him,"

Takeo walked downstairs. Take him in? Hah! He would never.

"Listen, I have my own problems. I don't need your problems interfering with mine. If he comes with us, I will leave and take care of Ailith on my own. I can't guarentee the safety of Aaron, Faron, or Akumo though. I will kill them to kill her."

Koe liked the attention. He knew that. All girls are the same. That's what originally got him interested in guys.

"I'm going back to track Ailith. You're welcome to join me, or not, I don't care. Elza, you have to come with me for that special task I needed you for earlier, remember?"

(((. . . Ailith's going to catch Takeo, isn't she? asdfgh I hate choices D:)))

Elza nodded, turning back to Koe and muttering something to her in turn. "Wait on that answer. I can't risk a yes right now," she cut her eyes to Takeo, "but what you say makes sense." Elza did a final check, just making sure that her sword belt was properly fastened, and her bag secured. She was ready to go. Elza stepped after Takeo, raising her eyebrows at Xavier. "No funny business, y'hear?" she said, then walked through the door.

Koe glared at Xavier as she passed, and followed them out. Xavier grinned and followed them.. From a slight distance.

Ritsu packing his stuff and followed Koe and Xavier. He thought to himself "This guy cannot be trusted never unless he can prove to us that he is worthy of our trust." Also thinking if he and the others could kill that mindcontroller and save the rest.

(I'm going to be away, I will do Takeo and elza's adventure Thursday!)
